Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Align team objectives with broader company goals and ensure DevOps strategies contribute to business success.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in DevOps workflows and agile execution.
  • Work with leadership to refine performance metrics and optimize engineering team efficiency.
Advanced Team & Project Management
  • Oversee multiple teams, ensuring cohesive execution of project timelines and deliverables.
  • Implement strategic process changes to enhance DevOps adoption and effectiveness.
  • Provide higher-level problem resolution, guiding Base Managers in managing engineering team challenges.
Enterprise-Level Collaboration & Client Engagement
  • Partner with directors to refine DevOps governance and long-term practice development.
  • Engage more directly with clients when required, ensuring high-level alignment and relationship management.
  • Advocate for best practices across teams, ensuring consistency in execution and delivery.
Leadership Development & Mentorship
  • Develop leadership training initiatives for Base Managers to improve their effectiveness.
  • Identify and nurture future leaders within the DevOps practice.
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning, ensuring engineering teams stay engaged and proactive.

  • Strategic Influence: Take a broader leadership role in shaping DevOps strategy and best practices across multiple teams.
  • Higher-Level Coordination: Collaborate more closely with directors and stakeholders to ensure alignment of DevOps initiatives with company-wide goals.
  • Mentorship & Leadership Development: Provide mentorship to Base Managers, helping them develop their leadership and process management skills.
  • Process Ownership: Lead the refinement of DevOps workflows, ensuring continuous improvements in efficiency, tracking, and project execution.
  • Cross-Team & Client Engagement: Take a more active role in managing external client expectations and internal cross-department collaborations.
  • Risk Management & Scalability: Identify long-term risks, implement mitigation strategies, and optimize team scalability.
  • Advanced Budget & Cost Oversight: Manage financial planning for projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial efficiency.
  • Higher-Level Effort Estimation & Resource Planning: Work with directors to refine project estimation models, balancing engineering workload and business demands.
